Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach With over 14,000 intriguing animals to find, what are you waiting for? The best part was wading the 330 foot tunnel through the reef with fish around us everywhere. Facilities are well maintained, and our favorite new experience was the penguin exhibit had we not expected, it really is a joy to walk through feeding stingrays by hand yesterday too so seeing as we got happy ass stuff on offer.

Enjoy the festive attractions of Myrtle Beach starting with a unique dinner entertainment show themed to alligators at Barefoot Landing. If slow and steady is more your speed, opt for a lazy river rental on the Intracoastal Waterway. There are holiday themed shows at the Alabama Theatre, or enjoy one of the many live escape games near picturesque Murrells Inlet MarshWalk. Bask in exploration through the historic Atalaya Castle and challenge your sleuthing skills with exhilarating escape room activities. Twelve 33 Distillery, a few minutes down the road from Myrtle Beach in Little River SC, distils an array of spirits that includes rum, vodka gin whiskey and coffee liqueur. Many of the handcrafted spirits are made with grains and other ingredients purchased directly from local farms. Twelve 33 Distillery has a tasting room that offers guided tours and tastings Monday through Saturday (excluding special holidays). We sampled a tasting flight of their unique spirits, and it also offers cocktails.
Those in the know can explore this hidden gem of a tasting room that houses its own speakeasy simply by locating the lion head on display and whispering “volestead” for admittance.

This was a weekend getaway that would never be forgotten, and from the top of this Ferris Wheel in Myrtle Beach provides one an incredible view. A giant observation wheel with 42 sealed and air-conditioned gondolas, all of which have room for up to six.

As soon as you see the strange building, you know something different is happening inside. There is an indoor amusement park with thousands of elements to explore and surprises like no other. From the ropes course to a sports zone and standard rides, there is something for everyone (although some of those things may have height restrictions). What should have been a quick trip turned into hours of playing around with everything from the giant bubble station, to my personal favorite: crawling along on an actual Wonder Brite wall and yes lying atop one bad ass bed o’ nails. WonderWorks is a great way to spend the day or escape the summer heat and be entertained on a cooler inside.
13. Pirate Adventures
When you are ready for your pirate experience, there are 2 great choices in Myrtle Beach. Drive a bit south to Murrells Inlet for a Pirate Adventure where the little ones get dressed up like pirates and join in some great fun with pirate selfies, face painting, tattoos. North Myrtle Beach also offers Blackbeard’s Pirate Cruise where young buccaneers help find the treasure before Bad Billy Bones steals it all! Each adventure has face painting and temporary tattoos included with admission.
