- Passports/Identification Documents – We use our passports for check-in and keep them safely stored in the stateroom safe throughout the cruise.
- Driver’s License – Since we leave our passports on the ship, my husband and I carry our driver’s licenses when going ashore. You’ll need to present your Key to the World card along with a photo ID (for adults) to reboard the ship.
- Cash – Be sure to pack plenty of $1 bills for tips. We use them for porters, room service, drivers to and from the port, and others.
- Sea Sickness Medication – I always keep this in my embarkation bag just in case I need it during the trip.
- Port Arrival Form – Print this form after completing your online check-in. It’s essential for getting through the port process smoothly.
- Other Important Necessities – Don’t forget items like glasses or contacts, phone, camera, chargers, and any medication you may need.

Disney Cruise Line provides basic bathroom amenities in your stateroom, including shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash. However, you may want to pack additional personal items to make your stay more comfortable.

Lanyards are a great way to keep your Key to the World card easily accessible throughout your cruise. This helps you avoid digging through your bag every time you need it.

On my last cruise, I purchased foam Christmas decorations from a local craft store. I then hot glued magnets to the backs so they would stick to the door. It was a fun touch for the holiday season, but it’s important to keep in mind that these decorations can sometimes go missing, so don’t invest too much in them. Light Card
On the Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, and Disney Dream, you need to insert a card into a power slot to activate electricity in your stateroom. This means the lights and outlets won’t work unless a card is in the slot. Check the price here
Pro Tip – Any card the size of a credit card will do, so we like to use an old Disney gift card as our light card. For added convenience, you can even attach a chip clip or glue a magnet to the back of the card so it sticks to the wall when not in use.
Pirate Night Outfit
Disney Cruise Line designates one night per cruise as a themed “Pirate Night.” On this night, you’ll see some guests going all out with elaborate pirate outfits. If you enjoy dressing up, this is a great chance to wear your best pirate costume and join in the fun!

- Clothes Pins – These are perfect for hanging clothes to dry in the bathroom.
- Dish Soap/Bottle Brush – If you bring refillable water bottles, pack some dish soap to clean them in the bathroom. I also bring a bottle brush to easily scrub the inside of the bottles.
- Pre-packaged Snacks – We like to pack snacks like popcorn and candy for the nightly shows. This way, we don’t need to buy snacks onboard.
- Downy Wrinkle Releaser – This is a game-changer! If you’ve never used it, you’re missing out. I never iron—just spray it on your clothes, smooth them out, and the wrinkles vanish as it dries.
Baby and Toddler Packing List: Essentials for Little Ones
Traveling with a baby or toddler means packing extra items to keep them comfortable. Luckily, Disney Cruise Line provides milk, juice, and water for free, along with puréed food for younger children, making things a little easier for parents.
