Being the most popular market, it tends to get crowded, so arriving around 5-6 PM will allow you to enjoy it before the peak rush. Plus, the Advent music played daily at 5:30 PM from the Town Hall balcony adds a magical touch to the experience.

By Air
Munich Airport (MUC) is located around 30 km from the city center. The S-Bahn lines (S1 and S8) run every 10 minutes, connecting the airport to the city in about 35 minutes.
For budget travelers, low-cost carriers like Wizzair and Ryanair fly to Memmingen Airport, also known as Allgäu Airport Memmingen (FMM). From there, you can take the Allgäu Airport Express to Munich, which takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can use FlixBus, which also has a similar travel time and tends to be cheaper in most cases.
