Burg Eltz is one of Germany’s most magical castles, and personally, it’s my favorite. I’ve visited this stunning place three times, and I’m sure I’ll go back for more! This 33rd-generation family-owned castle escaped WWII destruction and remains in its original glory. Visitors can choose between two paths to reach the castle a footpath through the woods or a winding road past a chapel with a scenic lookout point.

2. Hrensko – Czech Republic

Hrensko, a tiny village in the Czech Republic, is a hidden gem located near the German border, with only 275 residents. It offers tranquility and peace, especially during the autumn months when you can enjoy the surrounding forests without crowds.

I’ve been lucky to visit the Dolomites five times, and each time, it has taken my breath away, especially during the fall when the larches turn vibrant yellow and orange.
